Carefully manufactured by Conté à Paris craftspeople, Pierre Noire pencils have a soft black lead that is dense, deep, indelible and matte. They are appreciated for their use on all types of supports, including paper and canvas. The pencil comes pre-sharpened and is best further sharpened with a razor blade or knife.
