Unmounted Linoleum for printmaking is made of a flexible, durable material that will not dry out or crack. The easy-to-carve linoleum offers a fine, flat surface that will reproduce sharp and clear artwork without gaps or hollows. It provides a cutting depth of 1/8" and is suitable for use with any water-soluble or oil-based relief ink.
Images can easily be transferred to the linoleum surface by taking a laser print or a photo copy of the image, placing it face down on the block and using a blender marker such as the AD Blender Marker on the back of the print to transfer the image.
Speedball makes a popular lino-cutter set that comes with an assortment of blades to achieve different lines.
