Plaster of Paris is a versatile material that sets fast without shrinking—ideal for molds and casts. It is gypsum powder, and the name comes from the abundance of it near Paris. Mix the white dry plaster with water to the desired consistency and pour or shape, press things into it, or press it into an armature to create a sculpture. Once dry in 20-30 minutes, it can be carved or painted. Also used for stucco and for repairs in interior plaster walls and ceilings. Non-toxic.
4 pound package covers approximately 2.25 sq ft depending on thickness applied.
