Paperblanks Kara-Ori pencil Case is inspired by a kimono design that dates to the Edo period (1615–1868), when it was used as a costume for the theatrical style known as Noh. Karaori refers specifically to the exquisitely embroidered traditional woman’s kimono that Noh theatre was known for. This pencil case has removable inner trays for storage of small items and an informational bookmark containing a fascinating historical background for the original artwork, all secured by a magnetic wrap closure.
