Paperblanks Kara-Ori pencil Case is inspired by a kimono design that  dates to the Edo period (1615–1868), when it was used as a costume for the theatrical style known as Noh. Karaori refers specifically to the exquisitely embroidered traditional woman’s kimono that Noh theatre was known for. This is an eco-friendly, hardcover journal made with 100% recycled binder board and acid-free, 85gsm sustainable forest paper. It features Smyth sewn binding, an accordion-style memento pouch that stores your loose papers, a satin ribbon marker, and a warp closure. The back endpaper contains information about the fascinating historical background for the original artwork.
