Gamblin Solvent-Free Fluid Medium is a painting medium that gives colors more flow and transparency. This medium increases gloss and has a moderately fast drying rate. The non-toxic fluid contains no Gamsol or petroleum distillates, and is made from safflower oil and alkyd resin.

    I'm new to oil painting so I have nothing to compare this to, but this text from Gamblin seems correct: "gives oil colors more flow and transparency. It has a moderately fast drying rate and increases gloss." As I now know, "moderately fast" means I have a few minutes to adjust a thinnish coat of paint before it dries (helpful to correct mistakes), but it does dry in time to paint the next layer at the rate I like to paint. It doesn't smell harmful or give me a headache.
