Blending Stumps are cylindrical drawing tools made of soft paper, tightly wound into sticks and easily shaped with a sandpaper pad. They're used by artists to smudge or blend marks made with charcoal, crayon, pencil or other drawing media. With a stump you can produce gradations and half tones.
