Gloss Medium is a general purpose liquid medium useful for creating glazes, extending colors, enhancing gloss and translucency and increasing film integrity. It has a unique feel that is more oil-like and resinous in nature. This consistency allows the medium to promote flow and leveling.

This medium dries to a smooth, gloss finish.

    I have used this for years. It leaves a very shiny surface when dry so I always add just a bit of it to the Matte Medium. If I use 3-1 or less I usually get what I want: a surface that is not dull but doesn't reflect light so much that the paintings are hard to photograph.
