Encaustics

Encaustic art is a form of hot wax painting using beeswax and damar resin and adding colored pigment. You can build many layers to create depth and translucency and use a brush or tool to apply alcohol ink, graphite, or oil paint. Stencils, wood blocks, and rubber stamps can also be used to make patterns.
