This Mulberry paper is made in Japan from kozo, one of the strongest natural plant fibers used in papermaking. Because of its strength the most common use is for book binding, conservation framing, repair and restoration of art.
The handmade offwhite sheet it is also very desirable for all printmaking techniques and although lightweight, Mulberry is strong enough to take considerable pressure from a hand printing press without concern for cracking or tearing. The sheet has a very subtle laid, chain line pattern and is especially soft with very little surface sizing.
