Soluvar is an archival, removable varnish that is applied over acrylic and oils as a final coat over completely dry, finished work. It leaves a durable, colorless, lightfast and non-yellowing finish. Soluvar is very fluid, water-resistant, and will increase the depth and intensity of color.
It resists cracking as a painting surface expands and contracts during temperature and humidity changes, and can be removed with mild solvents and thinned with mineral spirits or turpentine.
