Jacquard's Damar Resin is used for hardening beeswax by raising its melting temperature when used in encaustic applications. Because the damar is in its raw state, this resin must be melted with the beeswax and strained to remove impurities. The crystals consist of resin from a tree found in the East Indies.
Each package contains 8 oz. of resin with a melting point of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
