This Indigo Tie Dye Kit brings the ancient art of indigo dying into a user-friendly formulation that delivers beautiful results. Indigo dye is plant-based and is one of the oldest dyes used for coloring fabrics and is still used today most notably to color blue denim.
The kit includes pre-reduced Indigo dye, soda ash, sodium hydrosulfite, gloves, rubber bands, wood pieces and an instruction booklet with dye patterns and a historical overview of indigo.
Every kit dyes up to 15 shirts or 15 yards (5 lbs.) of fabric. Kit does not include fabric. Recommended for ages+.
