Gloss Medium is a resinous liquid medium that promotes exceptional flow and leveling for glazing and color extension while maintaining a crystal-clear, non-yellowing film. When working with wood panels, it is the best product for blocking Support Induced Discoloration (SID)—preventing the migration of tannins and wood lignin from wicking into and staining your finished work.
This medium dries to a smooth, gloss finish.
Golden Gloss Medium
I have used this for years. It leaves a very shiny surface when dry so I always add just a bit of it to the Matte Medium. If I use 3-1 or less I usually get what I want: a surface that is not dull but doesn't reflect light so much that the paintings are hard to photograph.
