Victor Reyes New Mural at FLAX
Flax is proud to feature a new mural by local iconic artist, Victor Reyes. Each year, along with Montana Aerosol Paints, we host a selected mural artist to creatively enhance the front of our store. Victor's murals can be found all over San Francisco adorning concrete and brick with his signature style - Revolution Painting. Composed of stirring imagery, bold patterns and bright colors that radiate with aggressive beauty, they have a natural rhythm unique to the street artist culture. Reyes work has been commissioned by Louie Vuitton, Twitter, and Nike. In 2010 the San Francisco Chronicle featured this cover story about him called Man of Letters on a Mission.
Originally from Milwaukee Wisconsin, Reyes moved to San Francisco in 1998 and has since dedicated himself to honing and maturing his craft. Smashing down the walls between what is considered art and graffiti, his work can now be found, not only on the street, but in local galleries as well. His paintings and murals have been exhibited in Germany, Japan, Miami, New York and Los Angeles.
Be sure to stop by and check out his latest creation adorning FLAX's front wall, shown below...
