Jim Hutchison is a self taught artist living in San Francisco who is part of Hunter’s Point Shipyard tists. Jim studied English Literature and received his MA from University of Oregon. He began his artistic career in 1980 and paints mostly landscapes and portraits. Jim held solo exhibits in Los Angeles and Santa Cruz between 1988-1993, and then moved up to the Bay Area because he loves the weather (not too hot, lots of fog!).

His work has been shown in group shows at the SFMOMA Rental Gallery, The American Gallery, and ArtSpace among many others. Jim has had numerous individual shows as well including; Place Pigalle, Eichelberger’s, and Blondies.
