25 Artists Celebrate the Landscape
Naturally there is no greater inspiration than the beauty of the earth that surrounds us. In recognition of Earth Day, here we have selected 25 artworks that celebrate the landscape, with the hope that in appreciating these images we are reminded to always do what is right for Mother Earth.

                Classic Ads from Yesterday
We found a treasure. Unmarked boxes that held copies of old magazines dating as far back as 1952, all issues of Art Material Trade News, an industry publication that was distributed to manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Fascinated, over a few nights and a few glasses of wine I went page-by-page through more than 100 magazines and discovered a lot of history, including these advertising gems.
What is remarkable is how little the tools of the trade change over time. Trends come a

                25 Artists Celebrate the Tree
In recognition of Earth Day, we share this collection of art that has a common theme, the tree. Artists such as Monet, O’Keefe, Escher, Hokusai and others help us reflect upon the form, beauty and significance of the tree. Whether symbolized as the Tree of Life, as done so by Haring and Klimt, reflected in a puddle or assembled in abstract form, these artists interpret the tree with their own personal and spiritual values.

                Studio 23 Spotlight Exhibit
Studio 23's mission is to support local artists, those that are already established and emerging artists new on the scene. Artists and co-founders Jessica and Wesley E. Warren also started the Alameda Artists Group, a Bay Area artist collective with over 1500 members, who before the pandemic regularly met at Studio 23 for workshops and sketch groups.
