Born and raised in Germany, Hilla lived in Munich most of her life before moving to San Francisco in 1997. She took up studying drawing and painting to stay grounded, find focus, and an outlet for her creativity. Tsungwei, Moo is an artist from Taiwan, where she was an artist in residence at the Da-Dao Art Museum in 2000.
Her range of artworks include printmaking, painting, photography and ceramics.
