BEST Heavy Duty Stretcher Bars are made of pine that has been finger-spliced – a method of bonding pieces of lumber together to form a very long, straight bar that becomes stronger than the natural wood, First designed for the construction industry, this high-tech method yields better bars than ever before. Made by BEST in Wisconsin.
The wood is nicely dried and straight but the fit is much too tight. At least one of joints cracked slightly while putting them together. The front surfaces are uneven at the joints of the bars which will require additional sanding before stretching the canvas.
