Born and raised in San Francisco, Jennifer chose the Academy of Art to pursue her passion. She graduated with a BFA in Fine Art in 2012 and participated in several group shows around the Bay Area including Habit Collective and galleries across Napa and Sonoma.

“I work with graphite, charcoal, and oil on white gessoed canvas. My process includes many translucent layers of oil on top of dry media to show each layer and stage of the painting. This symbolizes the complexities of people and how we are each not yet completed; we are a “work in progress”. The viewer is meant to be able to“peer”  through the window of the person, seeing ones vulnerability and exposing the deep recesses of the heart.”

Jennifer is currently working on two moving bodies of work entitled, “Solus Christus” and “Wasting Away.” Both works have reoccurring themes prevalent throughout her painting to show the effects and consequences of sin. The paintings are done with graphite, charcoal, and many translucent layers of oil and express the depravity of humans, destructive desires, and suffering in urban desolate environments. Jennifer is a member of Clique and has several pieces in our Collective Collaborations art exhibit.
