SF Almanac, 2012

by Howard Flax on January 10, 2012

SF AlmanacI like this guy, and I really admire this resource he has created. Stephen Kovacic is a local designer (he lives two blocks from the store) who spent many months making this 2012 Daily Planner. He sent me an unsolicited email about it with a link to the music CD it includes. I’d never seen the almanac, but after reading his message and listening to the CD…twice, because it’s good, we brought these in.

Hand-drawn by Stephen and friends with tons of art on every page, everyone at Flax wants one.

Are you ready? It includes:

  • A resource guide on every single page. That’s 52 things like last BART times, or $1 oyster happy hours, or SF supervisors phone numbers, or rights at work that apply especially to San Francisco, or chord charts for a bunch of instruments, or health tips, etc.
  • Information on free festivals, parades, free museum days, 100 years ago in SF history, when famous people were born in SF, etc.
  • A 16 track CD with 72 minutes of music from some of the most talented San Francisco locals Stephen has discovered.

108 pages. Coil bound, 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″. Ruler Ribbon attached to save your space, and extra blank pages in back. All that, for $11.95.
