Chris Koehler, with Pentel's Color Brushes
Due to the popular demand of Pentel’s drawing and illustration pens, particularly following the release of their Inking Center this summer, we welcome Pentel’s Featured Artist, Chris Koehler. Chris Koehler will be discussing Pentel for use in sketching, drawing and finished illustration as well as various other techniques.
He will be using the Pentel Pocket Brush, Hybrid Technica pigmented ink pens, Stylo and Tradio sketch pens and other great Pentel products. Chris will also define the differences between certain inks; pigmented permanent ink, water-based or water-soluble inks and their uses.
Chris Koehler is an award winning artist and illustrator who is an alumni of California College of the Arts and now teaches in their Illustration Department. His work is regularly shown in galleries.
Chris has worked with Wired, Google, Coca Cola, MTV, Kenneth Cole, and The NFL, among others. The awards he has won include Communication Arts Illustration Annual 52, Creative Quarterly Journal 24, 3×3 Illustration Annual 8 (merit) and 2011 AltWeekly Awards (3rd Place).
