Flax art & design has established a Live Artist program to support local artists. If you are an art student to an accomplished professional, with an interest in sharing your talents, we welcome you.
Just think of Flax as an extension of your studio. We have an easel and taboret for your use, and you get the benefit of a new environment to stimulate your creativity. Your participation provides a great energy in the store and our customers gain inspiration from watching you, while you gain exposure of your artistic gifts and artwork.
Your workspace is in the front of the store with the highest area of traffic. Bring your promotional postcards for customers to take away, and even offer some finished pieces of art to sell (no commission taken). We promote your visit via email and social media, establish for you a permanent artist’s profile page on our website’s Live Artists page, and post your bio in the store in the weeks leading up to the event. Flax wants you to find happiness and success in your artistic pursuits!
