Date of workshop: Saturday, September 10, 2011, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Golden paint representative, Nina Deckert, will demonstrate how acrylics are used as watercolor. We’ll discuss pigment properties, the merits of using acrylic and the different effects and techniques made possible with acrylics thinned with water. We’ll also look at acrylic grounds that accept any water media, and discuss archival considerations such as lightfastness and varnishing. There will be live demonstrations and many painted examples, plus free samples and literature for registered attendees.
